The collaboration combines Encompass Digital Media’s Altitude Cloud platform and Master Control in the Cloud SaaS offering with OCI’s cloud infrastructure, with the aim of supporting production, playout and distribution workflows for broadcasters, sports leagues and streaming platforms. “At Encompass, our focus is helping customers transition critical broadcast operations to the cloud without compromising reliability, performance, or operational control,” said Eunice Park, CRO of Encompass Digital Media. “By running our Master Control in the Cloud and Altitude Cloud services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, we’re able to deliver a truly broadcast-grade, scalable solution that supports live, linear, and streaming workflows at global scale.” Altitude Cloud supports playout, master control, distribution, VOD processing, archive and disaster recovery services. The platform is designed for live and file-based workloads, with support for geo-redundant deployment and dynamic scaling across linear, FAST, OTT and global distribution environments. Master Control in the Cloud, developed in collaboration with Techex and running on OCI, provides a SaaS-based master control solution designed to transition traditional broadcast operations to a cloud-based model. “Media organizations require cloud infrastructure that delivers consistent performance, predictable costs, and the flexibility to support live and high-volume video workflows,” said Kip Schauer, Media Partnerships, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. “OCI is purpose-built for these demands, and our collaboration with Encompass Digital Media demonstrates how media companies can modernize broadcast and streaming operations while maintaining the performance required for mission-critical workloads.” The partnership is intended to support deployment of cloud-native playout, distribution and master control workflows at scale while maintaining operational performance for live and linear services.
