NEWS EnduroGB heads to Devon for crucial penultimate round of 2026 season Published on August 18th, 2026 by Enduro21 Team NEWS EnduroGB heads to Devon for crucial penultimate round of 2026 season Published on August 18th, 2026 by Enduro21 Team 21 August 2026 23 August 2026 The 2026 EnduroGB season enters the home stretch this weekend as the Devon Two Day Enduro hosts rounds nine and 10 of the championship, with several class titles still very much up for grabs. Taking place at the Castle Hill Estate in Filleigh, near Barnstaple, the penultimate stop on this year's ACU series will see Enduro4One serve up a different format to the events seen so far this season. A compact route will feature three separate tests – Enduro, Motocross and XC – with riders completing multiple laps of the course across the two days. The action gets underway with Friday evening’s SuperTest at 6pm - free to enter for spectators. After a busy few weeks battling Welsh wildfires, Championship Manager Neil Hawker is turning his attention back to EnduroGB. He says: “Things are going to be different to what we’ve had at other events this season. The focus will be very much on three different tests and some riders will benefit in one or two but not necessarily across all three. “It will be a short lap and rider endurance will be key to a good result because of the multi-lap format. I’m looking forward to seeing how our riders and teams adjust to things.” With just four scoring opportunities remaining before the season finale in Mid Wales, the pressure is starting to build at the sharp end of several championship classes. While Jed Etchells, Nieve Holmes and Ceri Wyn-Jones have carved out healthy leads in the Elite, Elite Women and Clubman Women categories respectively, elsewhere it's still all to play for. Just two points separate the top two in both the Expert Vet O35 and Clubman Vet O40 classes, while the Clubman title race has a six-point gap between first and second. In Clubman O50, only four points separate the leading pair. The Expert class is arguably the closest battle of the lot. Beta-rider Kris Price arrives in Devon leading the way, but only two points clear of KTM man Henry Life, with Josh Lawer a further four points back in third. At 18 years old, Lawer is the youngest of the title-chasing trio and believes his position gives him the freedom to go on the attack. “I’m sitting third, so there isn’t masses to lose,” said the Cornish rider. “The boys in front have probably got a bit more pressure on them. For me, it’s a case of pushing hard, trying to get some good points and seeing where that leaves us.” Lawer has impressed this season aboard his 125cc KTM. A timing mistake on the opening day of the Rieju Yorkshire Enduro has been his one major setback, but consistent results elsewhere have kept him on track. “I’m pretty happy with how I’ve been riding overall,” he added. “I made a silly mistake with my timing in Yorkshire which dropped me back and meant I could only score seven points on day one, but it’s pleasing to know my other performances have kept me in touch with Kris and Henry. “It will be hard and intense doing lots of compact laps,” Lawer explained. “My focus is on trying to make the most of every test and showing a high level of endurance.” There will also be plenty more than the EnduroGB boys to keep an eye on in Devon. The British Youth Enduro Championship joins the event for its third round of the season, marking the first time in 2026 that the youth series has appeared alongside EnduroGB. “With our route being run entirely on private land, it’s fantastic that we can welcome the future stars of our sport and showcase their riding talents alongside our talented EnduroGB field,” added Hawker. And if that wasn't enough, multiple Enduro world champion Brad Freeman will also be lining up at Castle Hill, fresh from his podium appearances at the recent EnduroGP of Wales. You may also like..
