DAZN scores LaLiga rights across Sub-Saharan Africa September 1, 2026 By Nik Roseveare DAZN, the sports streaming platform, has secured the rights to broadcast LaLiga football across Sub-Saharan Africa for the next three seasons – from 2026/27 through to the end of the 2028/29 season. Effective immediately, DAZN’s users will have access to all 380 top flight LaLiga matches each season, available live and on-demand across 48 markets in Sub-Saharan Africa. Subscribers will also have access to highlights, archive footage, weekly programming and behind-the-scenes content. Matches will be available with both English and Spanish commentary. Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group, commented: “LaLiga is home to some of the biggest clubs, players and rivalries in world football, and we are delighted to expand our longstanding partnership by bringing every match to fans across Sub-Saharan Africa over the next three seasons. Football is at the heart of DAZN’s global offering. We have built one of the most extensive football portfolios in the world, spanning domestic leagues, international competitions and national team football. Earlier this year, we expanded that offering through the launch of FIFA+ on DAZN, which includes dozens of African domestic leagues and competitions on our platform. This agreement further reinforces our commitment to football fans across Africa and strengthens DAZN’s position as the global home of sport.” Javier Tebas, President of LaLiga, added: “Sub-Saharan Africa is a region with enormous passion for football and a growing community of LaLiga fans. Through this agreement with DAZN, we are strengthening our long-standing relationship with one of our most important global partners and making it easier than ever for millions of fans across the region to follow every match of our competition. At LaLiga, we remain committed to working with leading broadcasters and digital platforms that share our ambition to bring the best football experience to audiences around the world.” The launch builds on DAZN’s growing commitment to football across Africa. In June, DAZN launched FIFA+ on DAZN , bringing together FIFA’s library of live and on-demand content exclusively on the platform.
