By Aashay Khandelwal August 10, 2026 WhatsApp Linkedin Facebook X Telegram DAZN strengthens Iberian football portfolio with Premier League renewal and FA Cup DAZN is deepening its commitment to English football in Iberia after extending its exclusive Premier League rights in Spain and Portugal through the 2030-31 season and adding the Emirates FA Cup to its portfolio. The renewed agreement extends DAZN’s existing Premier League deal, which was due to expire after the 2027-28 season. The streaming platform will continue to offer all 380 Premier League matches each season live and on demand, alongside highlights and supporting programming. DAZN has held the Premier League rights in Spain since the 2019-20 season, while its coverage in Portugal began in 2022-23. The latest extension will therefore further cement the competition as a cornerstone of the platform’s football proposition across the region. The agreement also significantly expands DAZN’s English football inventory through the addition of the Emirates FA Cup. The competition will be available on DAZN in Portugal, while the rights will return to its Spanish service for the 2028–31 cycle. In Portugal, the combination of Premier League and FA Cup rights will give DAZN subscribers access to more than 500 English football matches each season. DAZN Iberia chief executive Óscar Vilda said, “The Premier League is one of the most prestigious and widely followed competitions in the world and occupies a central place in DAZN’s offering in Portugal and Spain. This renewal strengthens a long-standing partnership based on mutual trust and inspires us to continue offering fans in both markets the most innovative and comprehensive coverage until 2031.” DAZN Portugal Managing Director João Diogo Ferreira added, “This agreement confirms the ambition with which we are building DAZN’s future in Portugal: ensuring continuity for competitions that are central to fans and strengthening the portfolio with important new rights. We have renewed the Premier League, one of the pillars of our portfolio, and secured the historic Emirates FA Cup for the first time.” The move strengthens DAZN’s position in the increasingly competitive Iberian streaming market, giving it a larger and more consistent portfolio of premium English football content. It also creates greater opportunities to package rights, editorial content and commercial inventory around two globally recognised competitions. The English football expansion complements DAZN’s wider Iberian portfolio, which includes major European properties across football and other sports, reinforcing its strategy of building a broad, multi-property streaming proposition for subscribers and commercial partners.
