News - Article DIRECTV and DAZN Bring Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, and San Antonio Spurs to DIRECTV and DIRECTV for Business Customers in NBA Team Territories October 26, 2026 Share DIRECTV, the premier provider of digital television entertainment in the United States, and DAZN, the world’s leading sports entertainment platform, today announced a new multi-year distribution agreement for local telecasts of Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, and San Antonio Spurs games for DIRECTV streaming, satellite, and U-verse customers in each team’s respective NBA-designated home territories. These DAZN telecasts will be available to DIRECTV customers who subscribe to the Choice or higher packages and to U-verse TV customers who subscribe to the U200 or higher package. Each of DAZN’s team services provides live pregame, postgame, and in-game coverage for the respective team. In the coming weeks, customers who receive access to these teams via DIRECTV will also be able to login to the DAZN platform at no additional cost using their DIRECTV login credentials. This agreement also provides distribution rights to each of the five NBA teams to all of DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS’ thousands of sports bars, restaurants, fitness clubs, and other commercial venues located within each team’s respective region. DIRECTV has recently obtained regional or local rights to provide 76 of the 81 U.S.-based NHL, NBA, or MLB franchises to their local fans, including multi-year agreements for 28 of the 29 U.S.-based basketball teams. “Our goal is to bring together more of the live sports that local fans enjoy most, all in one place, with greater choice, flexibility, and control over how they watch and what they pay,” said Rob Thun, chief content officer at DIRECTV. “DIRECTV has earned its reputation as a sports leader through decades of investment and innovation, and we’re committed to building on that leadership to benefit all sports fans.” “We’ve built an extensive roster of NBA team media rights in the U.S., and partnerships like this one with DIRECTV are one of the ways we get games in front of the widest possible audience,” said Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group. “Local games for the Cavaliers, Grizzlies, Pacers, Spurs, and Timberwolves are now available on DAZN, DIRECTV, and at bars and restaurants across each of the teams’ five local markets. We’re excited to make it easier for fans to follow the teams they love.” As the local sports landscape continues to evolve and teams move to different forms of local distribution, it has become more complex for providers like DIRECTV to ensure that all the fans who previously enjoyed games can still receive them.
