Fox Corp. on Wednesday morning reported total quarterly revenues of $5.18 billion for its second fiscal quarter, a 2% increase over the $5.08 billion reported in the same period last year. The revenue growth was fueled by gains in sports and news pricing and continued momentum for the Tubi streaming service, which helped offset a significant year-over-year drop in political advertising revenue. Despite the top-line growth, the company’s net income fell to $247 million ($0.52 per share) for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2025, compared with $388 million ($0.81 per share) in the prior-year quarter. The decline was attributed to higher expenses, specifically rising costs for sports programming rights and production, along with increased digital marketing investments. Television Segment Performance The Television segment, which includes the Fox Network and owned-and-operated stations, reported revenues of $2.94 billion, roughly flat compared to the previous year. Advertising revenue in this segment remained steady as growth from Tubi and the impact of additional MLB postseason games counterbalanced the absence of the heavy political spending seen in the 2024 election cycle. Distribution revenues for the Television segment rose 1% to $831 million, driven by higher rates at owned stations and increased fees from third-party Fox affiliates. Cable Network Programming The Cable Network Programming segment saw a 5% revenue increase, reaching $2.28 billion. Distribution revenue in this sector grew 5%, as contractual price increases overcame the impact of net subscriber declines. Advertising revenue for cable rose 7%, which the company credited to higher pricing for news and sports content. CEO Outlook Executive Chair and CEO Lachlan Murdoch praised the company’s performance, noting that the results reflect a “highly differentiated strategy.” “Fox delivered robust results in the second quarter of fiscal 2026 with broad based contributions from across our portfolio, including notable strength in advertising, where despite strong political advertising revenues a year ago, we still grew total company advertising revenue,” Murdoch continued in a statement. “These results represent a continuation of the operating and financial momentum that we have delivered over the last several years.” Shareholder Returns & EBITDA Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter was $692 million, down from $781 million a year ago, as the company absorbed higher operating costs. Fox remained active in its capital return program, repurchasing approximately $1.55 billion of its common stock during the quarter. The company also declared a quarterly dividend of $0.28 per share, payable March 25, 2026, to stockholders of record as of March 4, 2026. As of Dec. 31, the company reported cash and cash equivalents of $2.02 billion. Read the company’s full report here . About TVN Staff This article was produced by the news desk at TVNewsCheck.
