The multi-year agreement represents the largest rollout of Foxtel Business iQ to date, with approximately 11,500 screens across Fortescue’s sites set to be upgraded. - Advertisement - Under the arrangement, workers will be able to access Foxtel’s sport and entertainment channels alongside its on-demand library, with content delivered in up to 4K Ultra HD via satellite to remote locations. Programming available through the service includes live and on-demand coverage of cricket, AFL, NRL, Formula 1, golf and Supercars, as well as television series such as Colin From Accounts , Outlander , and The Other Bennet Sister . The company says the offering is designed to support comfort, connection and day-to-day life in its accommodation villages. The agreement also includes expanded access to Main Event programming in both individual rooms and shared spaces, enabling employees to view major live events such as UFC and boxing. Fortescue has identified shared viewing experiences as part of its broader investment in village communities and downtime amenities. Steve O’Connor , Managing Director of Retail, Wholesale and Commercial at Foxtel Group , said the companies had maintained a partnership for nearly a decade and would continue to invest in upgrades across Fortescue’s sites. “FOXTEL and Fortescue have been in partnership for almost a decade and we’ll continue to invest together from the outset of our long term renewal to upgrade all living quarters and common areas across all Fortescue camps with FOXTEL’s full suite of live and streamed content through Business iQ, and develop delivery to staff personal devices through the FOXTEL app while at worksites. Fortescue’s very remote workforce will be the most connected and best entertained mining employees in Australia.” The rollout will be delivered through an accelerated installation program, supported by Foxtel Group partners ADB and BSA . According to the company, ADB provides technology development through its vuTyme platform, while BSA delivers installation services nationwide.
