New sport radio era Pougatch and McLaughlan will be joined by sports broadcaster Vassos Alexander, Daily Mail sports reporter Charlotte Daly and presenter Sanny Rudravajhala, with further announcements due. The station, backed to the tune of a seven-figure investment, will broadcast from 7am to 7pm on weekdays. “The station is committed to covering men’s and women’s sports equally, without segregating women’s coverage into isolated shows,” the station insisted. “We want to celebrate the passion and energy that makes us all sports fans in a way that is welcoming, engaging, and credible,” Macintosh said. “We can’t wait to launch Track Radio next month and build a space where listeners are at the heart of the conversation, able to call in, take part, and enjoy great sporting debate—all soundtracked to some fantastic music. “This is a top-class presenter team, and I am sure there will be plenty more to come as we grow, expand, and offer even more for fans and listeners.” Added Inverdale: “I’m absolutely delighted to be part of this fresh, vibrant new station. I meet so many people for whom sport and music are the central tenets of their lives, and we are really excited to bring both of these aspects together.” Read more Revealed: BBC bid just £900k for £5m Commonwealth Games TV rights Share this article Facebook X LinkedIn WhatsApp Email Similarly tagged content: Sections Sport News Categories Sport Business Business Media Sport People & Organisations Mark Pougatch media radio Sonja McLaughlan Track Radio Zac Goldsmith Related Topics Sport business Trending Articles Vodafone and Deliveroo look to patch up Reform ties after Yusuf prison threats Trio of firms poised to quit London Stock Exchange as exodus gathers pace Jaguar reveals the Type 01’s screen-free interior Easyjet’s over-60s recruitment push is economically necessary FCA ‘worked backwards’ to justify motor finance redress, say lenders More from City AM Revealed: BBC bid just £900k for £5m Commonwealth Games TV rights Sport Business BBC to broadcast Alexis Ohanian co-founded all-female athletics series Athlos Sport Business Exclusive: Plans for city-based, private equity-backed athletics league revealed Sport Business Five tracks that could host Formula 1 in coming years Sport Business ‘Brilliant and provocative’ columnist and broadcaster Rod Liddle dies aged 66 Media Exclusive: Former Formula 1 figure invests £100k into new Pacer app dubbed ‘Sports Tinder’ Sport Tony worth Ten Bob in the City of York Sport Not enough bums in Brum: Why so many empty seats at European Athletics Championships?
