Foxtel’s streaming platform Kayo Sports has appointed former National Basketball League (NBL) executive Ted Helliar as Director of Engagement, Community and Fandom , as the sports broadcaster seeks to deepen connections with fans and expand creator-led engagement. Helliar , who previously served as Chief Fans Officer at the NBL , will commence in the newly created role on 16 March . He will report to Cate Hefele , Managing Director – Go to Market , who recently returned from parental leave. - Advertisement - In the role, Helliar will oversee the social and creator teams across Kayo Sports and Fox Sports , with a focus on strengthening relationships with fan communities and growing audience engagement across the platforms.
