Bravo is the first CPL player to have had his jersey retired. "Dwayne Bravo's contribution to the Knight Riders and to the CPL is impossible to measure," Venky Mysore, CEO of the Knight Riders group, said at a ceremony prior to the start of Knight Riders' CPL 2026 game against Jamaica Kingsmen in Port of Spain on Saturday night. "Retiring No. 47 is our way of ensuring that his legacy will forever be a part of this franchise. There could be no more fitting player to become the first in CPL history to receive this honour." Bravo, currently the head coach at TKR, won the title five times as a player from 2015, when the team was called Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel, to 2025. Two of the titles, in 2017 and 2018, came as captain of TKR. One came as St Kitts and Nevis Patriots captain in 2021. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Trinbago Knight Riders (@tkriders)
