The Media Day event begins at 9 a.m. (Eastern), and will feature interviews with every men's and women's head coach along with Patriot League legends Muscala and Army's Kelsey Minato. Bucknell head men's coach John Griffin III will appear at 9:50 a.m., Muscala will be live at 11:40 a.m., and head women's coach Trevor Woodruff is slated for 12:55 p.m. The show will be available on The Field of 68's YouTube page or by following @TheFieldOf68 on X. The Patriot League men's basketball media day will be hosted by Jeff Goodman and Rob Dauster, the veteran national college basketball writers and founders of The Field of 68. The duo will preview the 2026-27 Patriot League men's basketball season and speak with all 10 men's basketball head coaches. The Patriot League's women's basketball media day begins at 12:10 p.m. Talia Goodman, who covers women's basketball for On3 and Rivals, and Paige Messier, the Patriot League's multimedia journalist, will drive the women's media day coverage. Goodman and Messier will interview the League's 10 head coaches and preview the upcoming season. Muscala starred at Bucknell from 2009-13, earning Patriot League Player of the Year (2011, 2013) and Patriot League Tournament MVP (2011, 2013) honors twice before being selected in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft. Muscala enjoyed an 11-year NBA career, spending parts of five seasons with the Atlanta Hawks and parts of five seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder in addition to spending time in Boston, Detroit, Los Angeles with the Lakers, Philadelphia and Washington. He joined the Phoenix Suns as an assistant coach before the 2025-26 season. Muscala graduated as Bucknell's all-time leading scorer with 2,036 points, and he also ranked second in rebounds (1,093) and blocked shots (271). He became only the fifth 2,000-point scorer and just the second player with 1,000 rebounds in Patriot League history, and he is the only player to reach both milestones. Muscala was a four-time All-Patriot League selection, and he led the Bison to league championships and NCAA Tournament appearances in 2011 and 2013. As a senior, he made history by becoming the first Patriot League student-athlete to sweep Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors. That season Muscala was also one of 30 national candidates for the Naismith National Player of the Year Award and one of 25 for the Lou Henson Mid-Major Player of the Year. He was selected to play in the Reese's All-Star Game in Atlanta on Final Four Weekend and recorded 15 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots in the game. He later earned Associated Press Honorable Mention All-America, Lute Olson All-America, and NABC First Team All-District honors. Muscala was equally successful in the classroom, where he was a CoSIDA Academic All-American in addition to his Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year award. He had his No. 31 jersey retired in 2019, and he was inducted into the Bucknell Athletics Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 2023.
