Mountain West Athletic Conference Launches Branded Subscription Streaming Platform MW+ Erik Gruenwedel July 1, 2026 The Mountain West athletic conference July 1 announced the launch of MW+, its first direct-to-consumer digital subscription platform with backend technology provided by Kiswe. The conference’s streaming platform marks a significant step forward in its digital evolution, delivering expanded access to live and on-demand content, while creating opportunities for fan engagement and revenue generation for member institutions, according to the MWC. Member schools in all sports include the United States Air Force Academy; the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa; the University of Nevada, Reno; the University of New Mexico; the San José State University; the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; the University of Texas at El Paso; and the University of Wyoming. Non-football schools include Grand Canyon University and University of California, Davis. Football-only schools include North Dakota State University and Northern Illinois University, while Colorado College competes only in women’s soccer, and Washington State University c ompetes only in baseball and women’s swimming and diving. A majority of each subscription purchased through a member school’s dedicated page will directly support that institution. MW+ will serve as the home for Mountain West and member school live events (not covered by third-party TV distributors), original programming and on-demand content. “MW+ is a game-changer for the Mountain West,” said Mountain West commissioner Gloria Nevarez. “Not only are we expanding how fans connect with our schools and student-athletes, but we’re also creating a new revenue stream.” Founded in 1999, the Mountain West fields 21 collegiate sports, including nine men’s sports — b aseball, b asketball, c ross country, f ootball, g olf, s occer, s wimming and diving, t ennis, and t rack and field (indoor and outdoor) — and 12 women’s sports, including b asketball, c ross country, g olf, g ymnastics, s occer, s oftball, s wimming and diving, t ennis, t rack and field (indoor and outdoor) and volleyball. MW+ will provide live streaming coverage of Mountain West events (including some football and basketball games) not available through traditional broadcast partners. Dedicated landing pages will be available for each member school. On-demand replays and original content spotlight student-athletes, programs and conference initiatives. Mountain West currently distributes its marquee football and basketball television and media broadcast rights through CBS Sports (Paramount+), Fox Sports (Fox One) and The CW Network. MW+ will offer an annual subscription for $79.99 and a monthly subscription for $10.99. The conference will offer a limited-time early adopter promotion in July, August and September for a $67.99 discounted annual rate. “We’re excited to partner with the Mountain West on this revolutionary new media model and look forward to bringing MW+ to life in 2026,” added Kiswe CEO Glenn Booth. Outside of college athletics, Kiswe also supports SVOD platforms for individual teams in the NBA and WNBA teams, including the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans.
