NAB 2026: Mediakind Outlines Growth of Multiview Deployments as Charter Rollout Expands in North America

ADVERTISEMENT NAB 2026: MediaKind outlines growth of Multiview deployments as Charter rollout expands in North America Posted on: April 19, 2026 • 2 minute read MediaKind (Booth W1743) provided an update on its Multiview deployments at NAB Show 2026, outlining continued expansion across North America and increased usage during major live sports events. The company reported that Charter recently launched Multiview for the 2026 NCAA basketball tournaments, enabling viewers to watch multiple games simultaneously. Usage increased during the tournament, with hundreds of thousands of Multiview viewing hours recorded within days of launch. The Charter deployment follows earlier work with Comcast, where Multiview was introduced ahead of the 2024–25 NFL season. Initially offered as a curated experience, the service allowed X1 customers to view up to six live games on a single screen. MediaKind has since expanded Multiview capabilities through its MK.IO cloud platform, which now reaches more than 20 million subscribers across North America. The platform combines more than 1,000 live regional channels and has delivered tens of millions of viewing hours. The company noted that Multiview functionality has developed from predefined layouts to more flexible, user-driven configurations. Comcast’s “Create Your Own Multiview”, introduced in late 2025, enables viewers to select layouts and combine live streams in real time. MediaKind is scheduled to discuss further developments in Multiview, including the evolution of “Create Your Own Multiview”, at the NAB Show Streaming Summit (W209–W212) on Monday April 20 (14:45–15:45). The session includes participation from Allen Broome, chief executive officer of MediaKind, and Joe Krell, vice president of engineering at Comcast.
