The new agreement will replace matches previously expected to be broadcasted on Victory+. The NWSL began broadcasting matches on Victory+ in 2026, but ended their partnership before the season even finished following missed payments to the league according to a report from The Athletic . The current media rights contract was originally announced at the 2023 NWSL championship with matches to be broadcasted across four separate external platforms including CBS Sports, ESPN, ION, Prime Video and the league’s own streaming service, NWSL+. “We’re thrilled to be elevating our partnership with NWSL to include this exclusive package of Sunday Night matches, leading into and during what will be a watershed year for women’s soccer,” said Joe Franzetta, Head of Sports at Roku in a statement. “As sports fandom is continuing to grow alongside streaming access to sports, our audience reach will bring the NWSL matches to more than half of U.S. streaming households and deepen our commitment to highlighting women’s sports.” The deal with the Roku Sports Channel and the league’s other media rights partners is expected to end with the conclusion of the 2027 NWSL season.
