We are delighted to have completed our first Padel court for Chipstead Tennis Club in Surrey. We are delighted to have completed our first Padel court for Chipstead Tennis Club in Surrey. It was a challenging engineering project given the wet weather over the past couple of months, particularly during the construction of the concrete ring beam. Padel tennis courts are traditionally secured to an in-situ reinforced concrete ring beam, which encases the court. These ring beams are designed to suit the wind loadings for the specific site and are substantial in size, supporting the steel uprights, solid glass walls and floodlighting of the Padel surround. The upper part of the ring beam can be seen in the photograph above, with a considerable amount hidden below ground. A well-designed and properly constructed reinforced concrete ring beam is a significant practical and financial element of any complete Padel court installation, and one we are proud to deliver to the highest standard. There is, however, a lower cost alternative where the Padel surround is retained on an existing macadam surface by means of weighted plates. If you are interested in adding a Padel court to your club or facility, we’d love to hear from you. You might also be interested in….
