ADVERTISEMENT Pitch Dublin Deploys Panasonic Laser LCD Projectors for Indoor Golf and Hospitality Venue Posted on: April 22, 2026 • 3 minute read ADVERTISEMENT Pitch Dublin, an indoor golf simulation and hospitality venue on Dawson Street in Dublin, has installed Panasonic 6,000-lumen laser LCD projectors across its ten TrackMan-powered golf bays. The installation was designed and integrated by MKS TEC. The venue combines golf simulation with a full-service bar and hosts corporate events, private functions, and everyday social bookings. Each bay supports golf simulation, interactive games, and live sports broadcast, requiring seamless integration between projection, computing, and AV systems. “This business is a tech business,” says Christopher Best, CEO, Pitch Ireland . “It’s a hospitality business, but it’s driven by good tech. If you come here, you’re expecting a 10 out of 10 experience on the technology — and that includes TrackMan and Panasonic.” The venue is located in a basement space, which presented structural challenges for the installation, including the absence of traditional ceiling structures and the need to work around acoustic panels and open infrastructure. “When we first came in, it was essentially a blank space,” says Martin Kelly, Director, MKS TEC . “We had to work from architectural plans to design the layout of each bay, the positioning of the equipment, and the overall system. We couldn’t form ceilings in the bays, so it was really about figuring out where to put everything and how to mount it securely. At the same time, we were dealing with a lot of cabling and integration, because this isn’t just a golf venue — it’s also showing live sports and hosting events.” At the core of each bay is TrackMan’s IO system, which captures ball and club data and feeds it into computers. Visual output is delivered via the Panasonic projectors. “The data is almost instantaneous,” says Kelly. “As soon as the ball hits the screen, it’s processed and displayed straight away. Everything has to work together smoothly.” “You can play games, you can play real courses, you can watch sport — it’s not just golf,” says Best. “It’s a social experience. Whether you’re here with friends, family, or colleagues, there’s something for everyone. The beauty of what we do is that anyone can simply walk in and play. You don’t need your own clubs, you don’t need to be a golfer — you can just come in and have fun.” MKS TEC specified Panasonic projectors based on previous experience with the brand. Features including lens adjustment and geometric correction allow each projector to be aligned within bays of varying dimensions. “We’ve been using Panasonic projectors for about six years now,” says Kelly. “We know they’re reliable, we know they’re flexible, and we know they deliver the quality customers expect. Not every room is the same. The Panasonic projectors make it easy to adjust everything so that it fits perfectly. In these environments, things can get knocked slightly out of alignment. What’s important is that you can quickly get everything back to where it should be. With Panasonic, that’s very straightforward. We haven’t had any problems with them. They run smoothly, and from a maintenance point of view, it’s very simple. It pretty much runs by itself.” The laser light source reduces ongoing maintenance requirements. Kelly notes that routine upkeep is limited to periodic filter checks. “The tech powers the business,” says Best. “If something isn’t working, it affects the whole experience.” Sharing Upcoming Events Top Stories Churchill Downs Inc.
