Premier Lacrosse League Brings Street Lacrosse Pro Tour to Venice Beach

Premier Lacrosse League Brings Street Lacrosse Pro Tour to Venice Beach By Grace Hamilton · November 2, 2026 Share LOS ANGELES – Nov. 2, 2026 – The Premier Lacrosse League’s (PLL) Street Lacrosse Pro Tour, presented by Cash App | Visa, comes to Los Angeles on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 3:30-6 p.m. PT at the Venice Beach Basketball Courts. The league's global grassroots initiative makes its first appearance in Los Angeles, bringing the most accessible form of lacrosse to Southern California ahead of the sports’ return to the Olympic Games at LA28. Street Lacrosse, launched in 2023 alongside Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman's Boardroom, is designed to be the easiest way to play the game – a pick-up style format that mirrors street basketball or hockey. With soft balls, no body checking and simplified rules, all a player needs is a stick, a ball and a goal. Each Pro Tour stop showcases PLL and Women's Lacrosse League (WLL) pros, rising stars and special guests competing in Street Lacrosse's fast-paced, 5-on-5 format, alongside music performances, creator appearances and limited merchandise capsules. The event will be open to the public – attendees can pick up a stick and participate in Street Lacrosse alongside a number of PLL and WLL pros that may take the field with Team USA at the LA28 Olympic Games: Ally Mastroianni, Captain of the WLL’s California Palms and four-time Team USA gold medalist. Taylor Moreno, Second Team All-Pro goalie for WLL’s California Palms and three-time Team USA gold medalist. Ally Kennedy , 2026 WLL Champion with the Maryland Charm and four-time Team USA gold medalist. Charlotte North , Captain of the WLL’s Boston Guard and four-time Team USA gold medalist. Sydney Scales , New York Charging defender and first-year defensive coordinator for the University of Southern California women’s lacrosse team. Josh Yago, 2026 PLL Champion with the Philadelphia Waterdogs, Team USA silver medalist, second lieutenant in the United States Space Force. Romar Dennis , former California Redwoods midfielder, LA-area HS coach, and two-time Welles Crowther Humanitarian of the Year Award recipient (2024, 2025) Since 2023, the PLL and its partners at Cash App | Visa, STX and Nike have grown their investment in the communities Street Lacrosse serves. As of the Los Angeles stop, that impact includes: 1500+ sticks donated $135,000+ in equipment donated 500+ players supported through PLL Assists and PLL Play at Street Lacrosse events $25,000+ in partner donations contributed to Assists partners Between Pro Tour stops, Street Lacrosse continues expanding its year-round, community-based youth programming through PLL Play and PLL Assists, giving parks and recreation departments, schools, youth organizations, clubs, coaches, nonprofits and community leaders the tools to run their own Street Lacrosse leagues and events. “The Olympics are coming to LA in 2028 and lacrosse is getting here first,” said Paul Rabil, Co-Founder and President of the PLL. “We’re bringing the best players on the planet to the most iconic courts in America and handing kids a stick. No gear, tryouts, or gatekeepers. Just ball. We can’t wait to be playing on Venice Beach.” "Cash App has been proud to stand behind Street Lacrosse since day one, because access to sport shouldn't come with a price tag," said Zack Ashley, Global Head of Brand Partnerships at Cash App. "Investing further into Street Lacrosse and making this a year-round program lets us connect directly with the communities we care about most — from the blacktop to the block."
