President Trump’s Trust Buys Stock In UFC Ahead Of White House Fight The White House is hosting an Ultimate Fighting Championship in June, and the President could stand to financially benefit from it Nina Kremer • May 29, 2026 UFC is about to become the "biggest sport in the world Credit: Rokas via Adobe Stock As the White House prepares to host an Ultimate Fighting Championship next month, President Trump has bought stock in UFC’s parent company. According to a HuffPost review of his May 12 financial disclosure filing, Trump purchased between $15,001 and $50,000 of stock of TKO Group Holdings. “This extravagant waste of money and government time serves not only to distract from the real work [of] the government but now may result in a pecuniary benefit to the president,” Norm Eisen, a former lawyer in Barack Obama administration, told HuffPost. “That is a far uglier White House spectacle than anything that the UFC will exhibit.” Disclosure filing is required for senior government officials by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics within 45 days of any trade. While it doesn’t list specific amounts, the purpose of the disclosure is to maintain a level of transparency, according to PBS. The UFC fight will take place on the White House lawn on June 14 to celebrate Trump’s 80th and America’s 250th birthdays. Construction on the arena began this week. But concerns have arisen about Trump’s stock trading due to the fact that the White House’s involvement and promotion of the event could influence the stock that Trump owns. “If, through his official actions, he actually can change the price of the stock, and he owns the stock, that’s a financial conflict of interest that should be prohibited,” Richard Painter, a former chief White House ethics lawyer, told PBS. However, as Vice President J.D. Vance has said, the President does not trade the stocks himself. “The president doesn’t sit at the Oval Office on his computer on his Robinhood account buying and selling stocks. That’s absurd,” Vance said at a White House press conference. “He has [an] independent wealth of advisers who manage his money. He is a wealthy person. He has had success in business. He’s not making these stock trades himself.” Scroll to continue reading fresh drops Bon Appétite Names Two Southern California Restaurants Among Best New of 2026
