The change retires a brand used since 2007 and will coincide with the launch of four television channels and access to the Canal+ streaming application. Existing subscriptions will continue, with the company saying the rebrand will not change how customers’ services operate. The new channels are Canal+, Canal+ Drama, Canal+ Crime and Canal+ Classics. The flagship service will combine original productions, international films, sports coverage and Czech and Slovak film premieres. The thematic channels will focus on drama and romance, crime programming and classic cinema respectively. They will join Canal+ Action and the Canal+ Sport channels, which carry competitions including the Premier League, Women’s Super League and WTA tennis. The company will announce further details on 19 October. A separate customer notice says all Skylink subscribers will be able to sample the four new channels through an introductory offer running until the end of November.
