But there's nevertheless an eagerness to tie him down to an improved deal in light of recent transfer interest. ‌ The Northern Irishman is understood to have attracted plenty of admirers following his exploits in the Championship this season, some of whom are believed to be in the Premier League . At the time of writing, however, there hasn't yet been any approach from anyone at this stage. Nevertheless, there's an acceptance within Swansea's hierarchy that Galbraith is now a key asset, and is likely to attract an offer from elsewhere in the near future. ‌ Galbraith has picked up four goals and two assists in 44 games for the Swans, with many of his outings coming at right-back, a position he played regularly at Orient. He's now sitting out the rest of the season after picking up a calf injury on international duty with Northern Ireland. Swans boss Vitor Matos has made his feelings crystal clear on the prospect of tying Galbraith down, stating recently: "I think he's a player we want to see in Swansea for the next 10 years, so let's see how long we can sign the contract." ‌ However, he added that the club's hierarchy would need to be on board to make it happen. "It needs to be a collective approach, something that is not only from me, but is something from the club because nowadays in football you can see that managers quite often come and go," he added. "I think in these kinds of situations the manager needs to have the first and the last word, but in the middle there's a lot of discussion that happens where there needs to be a collective approach."
