Kids, families, and community partners marked the occasion with a day of soccer, food, music, and fun. The new pitch reflects our shared commitment to ensuring every neighborhood has access to a safe place to play, and programming that brings the community together. “This mini-pitch represents more than a new place to play,” said Ed Foster-Simeon, President & CEO of the U.S. Soccer Foundation. “It reflects a shared commitment to ensuring every young person has access to safe, high-quality spaces where they can grow, connect, and thrive. When young people have places like this close to home, they see new possibilities for themselves. In partnership with the City of Erie and the Philadelphia World Cup Host Committee, we have invested in a space that will help youth build confidence, leadership, and connection. It will become a place where young people feel welcome and supported every day.” Created to serve as a community hub, the mini-pitch will help the excitement of this summer’s global tournament live on in Erie for generations to come. We were proud to bring the pitch to Nate Levy Park with support from Philadelphia Soccer 2026 and in partnership with the City of Erie, Erie County, the Bayfront East Side Taskforce, and other local supporters. We cannot wait to see the goals, friendships, and neighborhood memories made here. Check out our Mini-Pitch Map to find a safe place to play near you and bring the beautiful game home.
