(Oct. 22, 2026) - USA Bobsled/Skeleton (USABS) today unveiled the first commemorative coin in the organization's history, a limited-edition piece for the 2026-27 season developed in partnership with Plain City, Utah-based Artistic Custom Badges and Coins. The coin pairs red, white, and blue enamel with a polished silver finish. One side carries the USABS shield logo, the 2026-2027 season mark, and the words "Bobsled" and "Skeleton". The other side shows a two-person bobsled and a skeleton athlete racing down the track beneath a snow-capped mountain range. The 2026-27 coin launches a partnership that runs through the 2029-30 season, with Artistic Custom Badges and Coins developing a new limited-edition coin each year. The coin will change each year to celebrate the athletes, places, and milestones that define the sport. Every edition will be produced in limited quantities, making each coin a collectible. USABS staff and athletes will hand out the 2026-27 coin at events throughout the season. Artistic Custom Badges and Coins designs custom badges, coins, lapel pins, and buckles from its Plain City headquarters. The partnership puts a keepsake from a Utah company in the hands of the bobsled and skeleton community. It deepens USABS's connection to Utah, home to one of the nation's two sliding tracks in Park City. "This coin is a first for our organization, and we wanted it developed by people who care about craftsmanship the way our athletes care about every hundredth of a second," said USABS CEO Aron McGuire. "Artistic Custom Badges and Coins brought that to every detail, and it means a lot to work with a Utah-based partner on this project." "Artistic Custom Badges and Coins is proud to partner with USA Bobsled/Skeleton (USABS). We value the opportunity to support an organization that represents excellence, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness. Through our partnership, we are honored to create high-quality, custom-designed coins and collectibles that celebrate the athletes, the spirit of competition, and the pride of representing USABS. We look forward to being part of their journey toward continued success," the company said in a statement.
