Deal Structure Analyzer — Use Case

The Deal Structure Analyzer is one way to explore sports-business information in Prism. Review the available records, check their sources, and use the information to inform your own decisions. Prism does not infer private buying intent or guarantee an opportunity.

Start with the question you need to answer

Use this workflow to find relevant public information, then verify any important point in the original source. Begin with a specific company, event, person, partnership or market question. Broad searches can return unrelated stories, so check that each result refers to the entity and topic you intended to research.

Keep context attached to the evidence

Review the date, publisher, named parties and source link together. A record can help you discover a relevant announcement or event listing, but the linked source provides the detail needed to assess what actually happened. If a source does not support a claim, do not treat the claim as confirmed.

Separate facts from interpretation

Public reporting can help explain a company’s commercial activity, but it does not establish a private plan, current budget or intention to buy. Likewise, a speaker, sponsor or exhibitor listing documents a public event role; it is not proof that the person or organisation is seeking a meeting. Use the information to prepare better questions rather than make assumptions about individuals.

Check dates and coverage

Event information changes over time. Check the edition date and the organiser’s official page before making travel or scheduling decisions. Prism’s available records depend on public material and may be incomplete. A missing listing should not be interpreted as proof that an event, person, sponsor or relationship does not exist.

Explore related sources

Follow links from the Deal Structure Analyzer to review related public coverage, company context or event details. Keep a short note of the source and the question it answers so that another team member can check your reasoning. This makes it easier to distinguish a verified fact from an inference when the underlying information changes.
